Energy absorbing EPS foam lines the extra deep reinforced sides and adjustable headrest, providing complete side impact protection from lateral crash forces. The seat bottom is reinforced for increased lap belt safety and angled to prevent submarining. LATCH connectors keep the Monterey secure in the vehicle when not occupied (LATCH use is optional).
This booster seat surpasses Federal crash test standards and meets NCAP standards, the industry benchmark for verifying child seat performance in severe accident conditions, and has a 10-year life span.
