Warm Vermont Baby January 23, 2010 Michael C. Wayman (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We purhased this bundle me for our 12 month old. We live in Burlington where it gets quite cold and windy. The Arctic bundle me works as described and keeps our son warm in very chilly weather despite not needing to wear a winter coat underneath. It is now very easy to transfer him from car seat to stroller without having to remove or out back on his winter coat. We have it attached to a Uppa Baby Vista stroller and it fits like it was custom made for it. It will also work on the G-Lite umbrella stroller if needed. We would highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a warm option to a bulky bunting or winter outfit/coat.
Great Cold-Weather Cover January 28, 2010 M. Steed (UT USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I live in Utah and am active in the outdoors all year-round. My husband and I will frequently use the Arctic BundleMe in our BOB jogging stroller when we run and when we pull our baby behind us during snowshoeing excursions. Our baby is so warm and snuggly inside. More often than not, she falls asleep inside.
When going to the JJ Cole website when this first came out, I didn't find specific enough specs on it. When I emailed the manufacturer they said, "The Arctic BundleMe is like a snowsuit, while the Urban BundleMe (which we also have) is like a coat." When you use the Arctic BundleMe, you know your child will be warm from the winter elements.
The inside is a soft fleece while the outside is a very thick, durable canvassy-feeling material. There's a vent you can zip open to help regulate air. There's also a little pocket on the bottom front.
This is a great product and I highly recommend it if you live anywhere where it's cold and windy and you need to keep your baby/toddler warm.
Great for the NE! January 21, 2010 R. Sears (Montreal, QC Canada) We bought this to handle the insane winters up here in Montreal and New Hampshire. It's thick, soft on the inside, and the top sheds snow well...perfect. My only complaint is that the hood doesn't work particularly well with the canopy of our stroller, but it doesn't seem to bug our 17 month old to have it bunched a bit (we keep the canopy on, unlike the picture shown). Our stroller is a Britax Vigour.
Great for the Cold Winters January 25, 2010 Oak Park Mom (Oak Park, IL) We live in Chicago and the bundle is great for the cold weather. We can still go out on walks when it's not too cold and my son looks pretty comfortable and toasty in it. It fits our stroller pretty well and is really well made.
Fantastic bunting, couldn't be more pleased! February 6, 2010 Shari Arctander (Drammen, Norway) The JJ Cole Arctic Bundle Me (taupe/sassy) was just as described. I live in Norway, and it gets cold here! It is really warm and cozy. I was unsure how it compared to the regular Bundle Me (I used an infant Original Bundle Me last winter), and wondered if it would be warm enough, and it was. I expect I'll have to have a lighter Bundle Me as winter wains as it could be too warm when spring comes, but I'm not sure yet.
My daughter is 15 months old, and although she is a bit small for her age, I will have no problems using this next winter when she has turned 2. It is really spacious.
I use it on a BOB Revolution, and although I can't slip it over the back of the seat, it stays in place just fine since the stroller harness goes through the Bundle Me. I have also had the rain cover on my BOB, and it fits fine with the Bundle Me in it. I am really happy with the purchase and do not regret it at all! Only wish I'd gotten it sooner.
UPDATE 2 April 2010: I am still super-pleased with this bunting, and am still using it even with daytime temps around 5C /40F and she is not too hot (and she is by nature a very hot baby). However, my one complaint, and this is more irritating than anything else, is that it slides down in my BOB stroller. The velcro opening to get the straps through at the back is different than my original Infant Bundle Me and it does not stay shut. Then it slides down and suddenly it appears that my small-for-her-age baby is too long to strap in, but it is just that the straps have fallen through the back of the Arctic Bundle Me as it came un-velcroed, and that the Bundle Me slipped down. So I have to adjust it every third time I use it or so. But I am still really happy I have it and do not regret the purchase at all. I have not tried it on my 2000 model Graco stroller or my Emmaljunga, but I doubt this problem would occur on those because the loop can be looped around the back of the stroller as recommended.
Bottom line: LOVE IT and HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! But wish Bundle Me could improve their fastening system so the bunting worked with BOB strollers (and other similar types) better.
