5 out of 5 stars Best stroller ever!   April 12, 2010

Purchased this stroller for our first baby in the Black Step. So far, we have only used the bassinet attachment because he is only 5 weeks old. We also own the matching car seat and love that as well. This stroller is totally convertable, we won't have to buy another stroller for years! Easy to use...great look...wouldn't have it any other way!

3 out of 5 stars Not worth the money   May 6, 2010

I really wanted to love this stroller. It met all of my needs. We live in an appartment with no storage so I wanted a stroller that only had one piece that would take us from newborn to toddler and would take the car seat without adding any other equiptment. My husband is also 6'5" and I am 5'4" so the stroller needed hight adjustment. This stroller met all my demands with the addition that it could be used facing out and in (towards the person pushing and also has the largest canopy and really can keep the sun off my son. I love this stroller for all of thoes reasons but it has some major faults that make it not worth the giganitc price tag. The breaking system on our stroller was broken on arrival. The adjustable handle broke after about 6 months use. I need to use this stroller every day as we are out all the time and don't have a car. It seems unreasonable that it should break after so little use. The next thing that broke was the latch that keeps the stroller from collapsing. It would begin to fold while my little guy was in it. He is 11% for hight and weight so he is not a large baby to say the least so it wasn't weight. After contacting the customer service center, I was told to bring the stroller to their authorized dealer (120 miles away) for evaluation. As we paid a fortune for the stroller, we made the round trip, only to find that they could do nothing and it would cost us half of what we paid for the stroller to get a new chasse. Having, by that time, only had the stroller for eleven months, I complained again and was sent a new chasse but this one is missing the latch to hold it closed. I was also told that should the stroller have failed a month later, Peg Perego would not have resolved the problem. We would have had to pay for a new stroller. As far as I am concerned, that is crap customer service, as well as crap equiptment. When I purchase a high end piece of equiptment, I expect a high quality product. I am a very careful person and take very good care of my things (I still have things I use daily from when I was in high school abet a bit worn but well loved and still functional)so the failures can't have been from misuse. I just can't see paying so much money and getting somthing that doesnt even last for a year. I was planning on using this for future children but don't think it will last that long. This stroller is not worth the money and I would not buy it again.
